ARBOSIL 1081 acrylic sealant

One part silicone rubber based sealant suitable for sealing acrylic to aluminium, glassfibre and wood. Not suitable for stainless steel. Excellent UV resistance and durability.

ARBOSIL 1096 glass sealant

Low Modulus Silicone Sealant suitable for sealing glass to aluminium, glassfibre and wood.
Very good UV resistance and excellent durability.

ARBOSIL GZ mastic strip

This is a sealing strip based upon butyl rubber in combination with other polymers and plasticisers and reinforced with fillers. It is deformable under moderate pressure, has appreciable surface tack and recovery. It can be used in a variety of applications for sealing joints between components.

Very high bond foam double-sided tape

High performance acrylic foam double-sided sticky tape. Will not ooze out in hot weather like the GZ does. Apply pressure for 48 hours whilst adhesive cures and then hope you won't have to take it apart again soon!

DETAK adhesive/sealant remover

Whilst there is no magic solution for removing old mastic, and I have tried most, Detak, originally created to remove chewing gum is very good at removing most sticky substances. Cut away as much of the old mastic as you can with a sharp knife without damaging the surface, then brush on, leave a few minutes and then rub with a rag. Thicker layers need to be scraped off. Use a scraper that won't damage the surface, a piece of scrap acrylic is good for grp and aluminium frames. We supply a free acrylic scraper with each bottle. Due to airline regulations we cannot post this item abroad.
